April 19, 2018 Updates / Road Bans OFF
April 19, 2018 Municipal Updates
- Spring Road Bans are NOW OFF – a reminder that the effective/removal dates are dictated by the Department of Highways. Hauls are permitted at banned weights ONLY (with the exception of essential services, livestock, and non-divisible loads) until restrictions are removed. The RM will update as we are informed.
- Operators are currently out working on the roads after the latest snowfall. The RM is aware conditions are wet/muddy – all areas are being monitored and handled to the best of our ability in the current workload and conditions. Please be patient and plan accordingly!
- Driftwatch site – a handy tool/directory that was introduced to the municipality recently. The site is a voluntary communication tool that enables crop producers, beekeepers, and pesticide applicators to work together to protect specialty crops and apiaries through use of mapping programs. Please visit www.driftwatch.org for more information.
- REACT – new information is available pertaining to rate increases for tags and transfer station fees and has been posted here.
